With a wardrobe as impressive as her burgeoning film credentials, Elizabeth favours designers including Chanel, Alexander McQueen, Preen and Calvin Klein – opting for clean lines and subdued hues for a perfectly polished look. We can’t wait to see what this rising star does next, on screen and on the red carpet.
Jewelled tones have recently been making an impression on and off the runway, but it was their appearance in S/S 12 & AW/ 12 shows as well as on recent red carpet rounds that really had us falling head over heels in love.
Resembling the array of jewels from your grandmother’s jewellery box, colours such as emerald, ruby, sapphire, garnet and citrine are fast replacing black as the staple piece for any outfit. Whether it be a pair of emerald green sheen pants or a stunningly beautiful topaz dress, the gem palette is easy to incorporate into almost every outfit.
To get a quick fix of the gem-hued trend try the Samantha Wills Queen of Scots Ring in emerald or for an all over dramatic style try the FS by Frockshop Rio Frock in amethyst or the Santorini Frock in rhodolite garnet.
From high glamour to effortless chic, looks came paired with Isabel Marant sneakers, tuxedo suits, over–the-top fur coats: best dressed for fashion week was any ones game.
Here are some of our favourite off the runway looks.
From Taylor swift who came gilded in intricately embroidered gold lace by Zuhair Murad to Grammy winner of the night Adele in beaded black Georgio Armani and Katy Perry clad in beaded aquamarine Elie Saab they did not disappoint. Here are some of the stand out looks of the evening.
Firstly, congratulations on the success of your blog Oracle Fox as well as your collaboration with Harper’s Bazaar Style Network. What is it like to be involved in this kind of platform and how has it opened doors for you?
Firstly thank you so much for your kind words in regards to my being chosen to be part of the Harper’s Bazaar Style Network. I feel so blessed to be chosen as one of Australia’s leading fashion bloggers and given the opportunity to share my aesthetic and style with all of the Harper’s Bazaar readers.
Where did your interest in fashion and styling originate?
Funnily enough I’ve always been a bit of a tomboy so growing up even though I enjoyed dressing up and trying on clothes it was not at the top of the list of my priorities. As I grew a little older I realized that fashion for me didn’t need to be serious or about keeping in line with current trends but I saw it more as a form of self expression.
What is the meaning behind the name Oracle Fox?
The secret has never been revealed. I won’t give away too much but Oracle Fox for me is something that stands on its own with its own identity. I really love the word oracle when associated with fashion, I think this word is appropriate since it’s a about looking into the future.
When did you first consider setting up a blog and how has Oracle Fox evolved over time?
Before I started my blog I had been an avid blog reader for 2 years. It was never my original intention to start my own blog until I realized that it might be a good way for me to save all of the images that I was collecting daily as part of my life as a visual artist. Over time my blog has become its own force, I never would have believed the places it would have lead me to today even if someone had told me.
What do you look to for inspiration?
I travel quite a lot both for my own personal adventures and also with Oracle Fox. I really love to visit cities or countries that are different to where I live and observe the culture and the people wherever I am. This is by far one of the most inspirational things that you can do when you’re looking for new inspiration.
Can you list the main style tips that you live by?
This is a really hard one. Well I’m quite a nature lover and am quite grounded to my environment since I don’t live in the city so my biggest advice it to be true to yourself and this translates into your personal style. I’ll often drag out some funny random piece that I bought in high school and wear it with a more contemporary item for my wardrobe. I think that when you’re wearing something that you truly love (even if it’s not on trend or if it’s something very old and worn out) that people can see the confidence in your presence and that it reflects your true style.
What do you think about when you get dressed in the morning?
This is a funny one…it usually depends on whether I’ve just got out of the surf or not! If I’ve been surfing it’s a bit of a frenzy of grabbing the closest and cutest piece that I can find and wearing great shoes and some chunky hardware. If I have time I like to think about my day and who I’ll be meeting up with and where I’m heading.
Who is your favourite designer and why?
Oh I always feel as though it’s so hard to choose just one person, I’m a Libran and we have trouble making decisions! I think I have a couple of favourites at the moment… these being.. Magdalena Velevska, Kym Ellery, Dion Lee, Alexander Wang, Celine and Isabel Marant.
What are the top 5 items you must carry in your handbag?
- At the moment I’m carrying the most beautiful shade of bright red lipstick by Chanel.
- My wallet with photos of my boy and my dogs.
- My iphone.
- There’s always some random pieces of solid jewellery floating around down there.
- A beautiful moisturizer for flying that I get from my dermatologist.
What is your dream job?
I feel very blessed to be doing what I love most right now.
What are you currently working on?
I have a number of projects with Oracle Fox that I can’t really talk about which seems a bit mean! One is a beautiful creative project where I’ll be using my drawing skills and a few others where I’ll be shooting and working on some fun campaigns.
What are you reading at the moment?
This is really nerdy but I love adventure novels. I can’t remember the name of the book but it’s basically a pirate story.
Who is your role model?
My dad is one of the people that I most look up to in this world. He’s incredibly busy and always has too many projects on the go but somehow still finds time to surf when the surf is good, drop me at the airport when I don’t want to catch an early shuttle and donate his time to charities that he believes in.
What can we look forward to in Oracle Fox for 2012 and beyond?
Lot’s of new and exciting things! More personal content related posts and the rest will be revealed over the next few months.. ..stay tuned.

Minimalist structure, simple accessories, relaxed knits and black satin cocktail dresses are displaced amongst splashes of mosaic prints, shocks of botanical prints and must be mentioned salmon silk linen tuxedo. We will definitely be holding our breath for this collection as will many of the A-listers out there who consider C&M a wardrobe must have.
