Simple Worn Well

Sometimes the most refreshing thing about an outfit is a simple piece worn well. Opt for a less-is-more approach to luxury and invest in a white blazer.

Whether worn over an all-black ensemble or paired with loose denim and personal touches, a snowy-hued jacket in a refined cut is as fresh as it gets. Clean, crisp, and classic in the best of ways, a white jacket in an elegant cut will be one of the smartest wardrobe investments that you will ever make.

Quebec label Smythe specialises in producing delicately constructed jackets with impeccable finishes; subtle stitching, flawless cuts, and quality fabrics. We love the tailored silhouette of the Bellows Pocket Equestrian Jacket and the timeless cool of the Boyfriend Blazer.

On Location with Antipodium

Roadtrippin': Antipodium takes us along for the ride to reveal their AW2010 inspirations.

Antipodium, the architects of effortless cool, travelled far and wide to deliver Ab Fab, a collection anchored in east London style that celebrates the art of the Outback.

For Autumn/Winter 2010, a unique project with Aboriginal artists in Western Australia (hailed as the Fab-Four) that sees the region’s natural beauty and Dreamtime folklore serve as the muse; bright hues and mineral tones are fused with bowerbird trimmings and hand worked accessories.

The Antipodium team drove for days through the outback, drawing inspiration from the sunburnt sand and other-worldly landscape (with War of the Worlds crackling from the stereo). Mismatched prints, a focus on texture and an earthy palette create a nonchalant, nomadic chic.

Creative Director Geoffrey J. Finch took us along for the ride, sharing his intimate travel polaroids to reveal the inspiration behind Antipodium’s uniquely Australian collection.

Soldier On

The military look marches on from one season to the next and CC Skye’s Pave Stud Earrings led the charge in this brisk editorial for the latest issue of Cleo Magazine.

We love the idea of pairing dainty costume jewellery and delicate mini dresses with oversized combat-style coats. Set a style code of your own by electing for a military inspired trench (we love Elizabeth and James’ Trench Coat or Thurley’s Leather Trimmed Silk Trench) worn over a short number such as Lisa Ho’s Twisted Mesh Dress or Alice + Olivia’s Bow Neck Dress.
